District 10 Governor’s Rally

The District 10 Governor’s Rally was held at the Gainesville Civic Center on April 29, 2008. This year’s rally was hosted by the Dawson County Kiwanis Club - the home club of Lieutenant Governor David Mancuso. Governor M. J. (Mick) Maguire surprised David with the coveted Kiwanis Leadership Award. All clubs within District 10 were represented and each club presented Gov. and Mrs. Maguire with meaningful gifts from their areas. Author and the Community Editor of the Gainesville Times, Harris Blackwood, was guest speaker. Although our hearts are still saddened by the recent passing of our 2008 President Roy Coleman, we know that Roy would have been so proud of our club and especially David.
